James C. Gaither Junior Fellows Program (formerly Carnegie Junior Fellows)

Junior Fellows work for one year as a foreign policy research assistant at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace in Washington, D.C.  Fellows have the opportunity to assist senior associates in research for books, co-author journal articles and policy papers, participate in meetings with high-level officials, contribute to Congressional testimony, and organize briefings for scholars, journalists, and government officials. 12-14 awards are given each year.  Award: $39,500 salary plus benefits for the 12-month position.  Eligibility: Graduating seniors and those who have graduated during the past academic year.  WU may nominate two eligible candidates for consideration each year.
