DAAD Undergraduate Scholarship

Highly qualified undergraduate students are invited to apply for scholarships funding study, senior thesis research and/or internships in Germany from four to ten months. Scholarships are available either as part of an organized study abroad program or as part of an individual, student-designed study abroad semester or year.  Award: Each scholarship consists of a monthly stipend of approximately €650, additional funds to help defray travel and research expenses, and health insurance.  Eligibility: Candidates must be current second- or third-year students in a U.S. or Canadian college or university and must plan to return to the U.S. or Canada to complete their undergraduate degree following their stay in Germany.  Candidates must have outstanding academic records, well-defined study or project plans in Germany, and an interest in contemporary German and European affairs.  Candidates should also have competency in German sufficient to conduct their projects.
